Job Description
- Develop big data solutions for near real-time stream processing, as well as batch processing on the Big Data platforms.
- Work with business domain experts, data scientists and application developers to identify data that is relevant for analysis and develop a scalable solution.
- Take initiative to run the project and gel into a start-up environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Any graduate degree or equivalent with 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- 4 to 6 years of professional industry experience with at least 2 years of Big Data project experience.
- Knowledge of SQL and conventional databases is essential.
- Experience in Big Data technologies like HDFS, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark.
- Experience with data preparation, transformation and analytical model development.
- Experience in Tableau/QlikView/Lumira with a strong knowledge of best practices for Dashboaring and BI reporting.
- Fair understanding of project management skills.
- Experience in NOSQL technologies like Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB is a plus.
- Experience in Real-time ingestion tools such as Kafka, Flumexs is a plus
